Earl and family, It was truly a joy and pleasure to know and minister to Joyce over the past years. You both are an inspiration and encouragement to us. We pray that God would give you an extra measure of his comfort and love as you mourn the loss of Joyce. With you, we hope for the resurrection to heaven through Jesus. In this time of sorrow, take confidence in the words that Jesus spoke to Martha as she mourned the death of her brother Lazarus: "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives & believes in me will never die." (Jn 11:25-26). You are in our thoughts & prayers.

To Joyce's family: I was employed at Country Accents in Rockford,IL during the time Joyce was employed there. I remember her as a beautiful person with a wonderful talent for connecting with the customers (especially Jan Hagara collectors) and also fondly remember her delicious creations for our Tea Room. Her love and pride in her daughters always came through in her conversations. My sympathy and prayers to all of you. Sincerely, Nancy Gibson
Patti Harrison left a message on April 6, 2009:
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the LORD, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2 What strength Joyce received from her Lord and her loving family! I will remember her by that quality of grace and quiet strength as she struggled in her fight with cancer. Sickness and Satan have not won - praise be to God! Joyce is at peace. May your family find that same strength in our Lord, Jesus Christ, and look forward to a blessed reunion in heaven. My prayers are with you. Patti Harrison

There are so many feelings & thoughts – The sorrow & sadness to not have Joyce’s wonderful presence on this earth anymore. The deep pain of having such a wonderful wife, mother & friend, now quiet. Remembering her loving spirit, joyful heart and caring ways. Holding her as a role model for how to be thoughtful, patient and compassionate. Knowing her strong love, deep appreciation and commitment to her family. Seeing how that lives on in each of you, your hearts and lives. Thankful for the time spent and memories created. Comforted that she now has no pain from cancer or hardships of this world. Celebrating the victory that she has in heaven. Knowing there is no better place to be; she is where we all long to be. She has fought the good fight and is enjoying the glory of sitting at our Lords feet. Joyce made such an impact in all of our lives; we will miss her greatly. And for what words cannot express, but please know our thoughts and prayers are with you as your grieve her passing that you may be comforted and lifted up. With love and affection, Christy
