Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My father (Frank Nowak) resided at Brewster Village from Dec. 2006 until he died in December 2010 of dementia. Whenever I visited him I would often see your mother (family member) in the common area. I called Josephine, the lady with the "smiling eyes". She always brightened my day and I sure hope I brightened hers. I always remember her wearing pearls, making her so pretty. Please know, every time I saw her, she was happy and content. My mother and two local sisters also got to know Josephine. God Bless you.

When I think of Auntie Jo, I remember her radiant smile, her enthusiasm for life, her love of family, and her trademark hairstyle. Auntie Jo was so kind and welcoming when I married Giulio. She was a generous and beautiful lady. The last years of her life were challenging, but through them all she was surrounded with kindness and love from her children;entrusted to their care, she was blessed to live out her life with respect and dignity. Auntie Jo, you are dearly loved.

Illness robbed my Auntie Jo of her memory of the many happy times when we as a family were together. But her death cannot take away from me the memory of her loving and lively spirit. How lucky I am to have called her my Auntie Jo, my godmother, for all these years.
