Bob Edgett left a message on April 6, 2009:
The highlight of my last "old Timers" reunion was seeing John and Pat. It was always a pleasure meeting with John and seeing him tearing the covers off the books in the warehouse. I will always remenber on one visit, John , his son, and I were going to lunch. John got in thye drivers seat, I sat in the passenger side, and his son started to get in the back. For some reason the son decided to get in on the other side, after he had opened the door. When he shut the door to go to the other side, John heard the door slam, and away we went. I said " Aren't we going to take your son" who was standing in the Parking lot.

Hi Pat, Just returned to the sad news of John's passing. He was a friend and we shared many things in common but the one I cherished most is that whenever we attended a magazine wholesaler convention, one thing we could count on was seeing each other at Sunday morning Mass at the Catholic Church nearest the convention. It was good to see him at the Old Timers Convention. He has been called home after making all he encountered feel at home. May God continue to bless you and the family.
