John R. "Johnny" DeGroot

John “Johnny” Robert DeGroot, 32 of Kaukauna passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  He was born on August 16, 1988 to Robert “Bones” DeGroot and Debbie Belling-DeGroot.  In his free time John enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling, the outdoors, golfing, racing, watching sports, and playing on his xbox.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Robert “Bones” (Mary) DeGroot, and Debbie (Kevin) Belling-DeGroot. His boys Jayden and Owen DeGroot who meant the world to him. Sister: Crystle (Tyson) Covarrubias. Special Niece: Ellie DeGroot-Hegner and Nephew and niece Cruz and Alassandra.   Step-sisters: Neeka (Kelsey) Kelderman and Reegan (Brian) Kargus. Step-brother: Kevin Bleck Jr. Grandfather: Dave Belling. His trusted companion his dog Shai (missy lou) and many other relatives and friends.  John was preceded in death by his: Brother: Jason DeGroot, grandparents: Pat Belling, John and Maryann DeGroot.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church (309 Desnoyer St. Kaukauna, WI 54130) Fr. Don Everts will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at the church.  Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Kaukauna.
