I met John "Bugsy" Moran at UW-RF where he was my "Little Brother" in Theta Chi fraternity. I'll never forget all the fun we had, and he was always in the middle of it, laughing, telling jokes, and just making things a bit more lively. Since he was "Irish", and proud of it, he dragged a bunch of us back to his home for St. Patty's day in Oshkosh, and stayed at his folks home. Never forget it. Bugsy will be missed by all of us..

I was a fraternity brother of John's (Bugsy). One of my first memories of Bugsy was him pronouncing "I'm Irish!" followed by an infectious giggle. Bugsy had a big heart, a quick smile, and I don't think I ever heard him utter a negative word about anybody. He will be missed.
Krista Borst left a message on December 28, 2011:
Bugsy always had a smile on in good times and bad and if you had a bad day he would alway bring your spirits up by his grand smile. You will always be loved Bugsy. Krista & Randy Borst & Kendra Filla Psalm 23 A psalm of David. 1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (NIV Study Bible)
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Buggsy was a beautiful soul who was loved by many. His smile was contagious, I remember a bunch of us from the bowling alley years ago(25???) going to a packer game and staying at his parents home and enjoyed their hospitality and "pasties" delish! I will miss him very much... Becky (cudd) Koepke

So many memories of Bugsy...from working together, playing cards after hours, darts and golf to name a few. Your smile and laugh will never be forgotten. Always a gentle and kind soul who brought joy to many lives. I will never forget all the Bugsy open tournaments and may they continue a tradition of the Bugsy Memorial Golf tournament. May God's peace surround his family and all those who loved him at this time and in the days ahead.
