John O'Connell

John "Jack" O'Connell, age 69, of Appleton, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at his home. He was born April 11, 1936 in Cicero, IL to John P and the late Marie O'Connell. After graduating from high school with letters in wrestling, he attended Ripon College where he was a member
of ROTC. Four years of service in the US Army were distinguished by earning his Green Beret in the Special Forces. He is survived by his father, John P. O'Connell, his sister June (Mel) Pletanka and his brother Donald (Sue) O'Connell, daughters Caitlin (Cathleen)(Bruce) Specht, Shawne (Walt) Winters, son Michael Michelle)O'Connell, grandchildren Christopher (Autumn), Amanda (Andy), Nicole (Ben) and Ashley O'Connell, Heather and Kimberly Collins, Daniel Specht, William Winters.
