John "Jack" Van Toll

January 7, 1942 — September 13, 2018

Jack Van Toll, age 76, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at a local care center. Jack was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 7, 1942, son of the late John and Mary (Blohm) Van Toll. Many will remember Jack for his more than thirty years of employment at Rich’s Bakery in Appleton. Jack enjoyed listening to his record collection or playing cards with family and friends.

He is survived by a brother: Don (Jackie) Van Toll; and three nieces: Jodie (Keith) Huss and their son Seth; Kristine (Mike) Wallner; and Tracy (Dan) Malsavage and their daughter Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew Donald Van Toll, Jr.

The funeral liturgy for Jack will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette Street in Appleton, with Fr. James Jugenheimer officiating. Private interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.

The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to everyone at Atrium of Appleton, where Jack had resided for the past eight years. You all became family to him, and we will always remember your kindness.
