John H. Dal Santo, 67, of Stockbridge, passed away Friday, July 15, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. He was born December 6, 1937, in Marinette, the son of the late Francis Herman and Anna (Sartorius) Dal Santo. John was united in marriage to Helen Jagodinski on October 8, 1977, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manitowoc.

John retired in 2000, following 35 years as supervisor of the electrical maintenance division with Kimberly-Clark Corporation. He spent 16 months in Mexico for K-C in international field service. He was a member of the Greenville and Stockbridge Lions Clubs, and enjoyed traveling to Gulfport, Mississippi, for the winter months. John was an avid train and antique tractor buff, and was a member of several national railroad historical societies. During his lifetime, John took thousands of photographs of different trains, tractors, people, and places.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Dal Santo; his children, Kandy (Robert) Kuhr, of Fremont, David (June) Dal Santo, of Lena, Wis., and James (Angie) Dal Santo, of Clover, S.C; his grandchildren, Michael Kuhr (fiancé Jennifer Lahti), of Milwaukee, Josh Kuhr, of Oshkosh, Holly Dal Santo (fiancé Steve Ermis), of Coleman, Wis., Erin (Paul) Den Ruyter, of Clarksville, Tenn., Rachael Dal Santo, of Anchorage, Alaska, Jonathon Dal Santo, of Clover, S.C., Elizabeth Dal Santo, of Clover, S.C. and Kelly Beach, of Gastonia, N.C.; his two great grandchildren, Coby and Christina; brothers and sisters, Dennis (Bev) Dal Santo, of Green Bay, Mary Beth (Bernie) Young, of Tillamook, Oregon, Barb Anetsberger, of Sacramento, Calif., Jerry (Janice) Porterfield, of Wisconsin, and Frances Dal Santo, of Marinette; a sister-in-law, Rita Hennessy, and brother-in-law, John (Lee) Jagodinski, all of Florida. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral mass for John will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 110 Davis Street, Stockbridge, with Fr. David Zimmerman as celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, and again from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of mass at the church. A memorial fund in John’s name is being established.
