We extend our deepest sympathy to all of Johnny Lamers' family. We are deeply sorry we will be unable to attend his funeral on Saturday, but will be with you in our thoughts and prayers. Johnny and Germaine were Ed's neighbors, and like second family. We share your loss. Sincerely, Ed and Joan Mauthe

To the family of Johnny Lamers -- one of my favorite families! Your description of Johnny was absolutely accurate -- a kind, gentle, humble, wonderful family man! Some of my best childhood memories are times spent at the Pine Street homestead. We'd dance to the 45's on the phonograph in the dining room, and Johnny would tease us with whisker rubs. I loved being at my home away from home. So wish I could be there to share in the wonderful service you have arranged for Johnny, and hug each of you. In Sympathy, Friendship and Love, Nancy Liethen Kilsdonk
Larry & Janet Lamers left a message on April 6, 2009:
Our condolences to Uncle Johnnys family. Johnny & Germain were most gracious hosts while our family stayed with them for both my father Ray & mother Hildas funeral. Cousin Don, I still think of you often & the fun times we spent together when you lived in Santa Monica California. With Love,
Duane Lamers left a message on April 6, 2009:
I will always remember Uncle John. There was the "private" tour he gave me of the mill not so many years ago. Who can forget the "cherry bounce"! And dinner with him and Aunt Germaine in that kitchen (and house) none of us will ever forget. God Bless you, Aunt Germaine! Our sympathies to you, to Reg, Jerry, Jack, Don, Karen, and Bill. There's already a perpetual Sheephead game going on above, and you, Uncle John, can join that table! Duane and Rita Lamers, Troy, MI
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
Garrett Lamers left a message on April 6, 2009:
Dear Aunt Germaine & Cousins, I am so sorry for your loss. I always looked up to Uncle Johnny. I remember enjoying breakfast with him on many Sunday mornings after Mass when I was very young, and Ray & Hilda ran the Clover Farm Store. That was about 58 years ago. I'll always remember him even though we moved away many many years ago. Again, My Condolences.
