John F. Bentley

John F. Bentley, 75, passed away on February 26, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. John was born on July 2, 1939 in Brantwood, Wisconsin to Clifford and Mildred (Eastling) Bentley. After he graduated high school, John served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. On September 26, 1992 he married the former Diane Jahnke in Menasha and they enjoyed over 22 years together. He was a former employee of Appleton Mills, retiring at age 65. John was a simple man who loved hanging out with his grandkids, hunting, fishing and the occasional trip to the casinos. He was also a very giving man who was always willing to lend a hand where needed.

He is survived by his wife Diane; children: Brian, Tony, Marcia, Laurie and Paul, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings: Cliff; David and Connie; Richard and Pat; Ron and Margie; Shirley and Pete; Milly and Chuck; sister-in-law Alice, close friend Dan Wittman as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Danny, brother Stubs and sisters Gloria and Lynnie.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Location from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
