Mr. Gosling was a wonderful educator and wonderful person. He was kind to everyone and a friend to all. I was very lucky to have had him as my teacher and feel fortunate to have known him. He will be dearly missed. "Well done faithful servant."

Pat, John, Bill & Paul, You all have our deepest sympathy with the passing of "Goose". He was a very good man. I learned so much from him at Xavier and beyond... not only in the school classroom, but more importantly, in the classroom of life. Goose taught me how to be a volunteer and how to demonstrate humility and self-sacrifice. He related so effectively to each of his students. He demonstrated respect for students, encouraging autonomy, creativity and risk taking. He was an awesome Scout Master. My fondest memories of youth were helping with Goose's Boy Scout Troop. He was a great fishing partner. Goose was the eternal optimist. As I "MC'd" Xavier Pep Rallies, he was always there to offer encouragement and give his famous bird calls. Goose is now in God's loving arms. May God Bless you and your family. Take solace and be proud knowing that Goose had a huge positive influence in the lives of thousands of students and countless others throughout the Fox Cities and beyond. Chip Coenen

I'll always remember Mr. Gosling for being a teacher, but not just in the subject of chemistry. He taught a lot of other important lessons, including the importance of being a good citizen, giving back to the community and taking an interest in making the world a better place. Our families grew up together and Mr. Gosling's fundamental decency was always there. He was a teacher, a mentor and an advocate at a time in my life when I needed all of those things. His generosity of spirit was an example for all of us. In fact, it still is.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

So sorry to learn of the loss of your father/husband. He was an amazing educator-definitely kept everyone's interest. But, of course, I remember him most for his infamous "bird calls!" Jack Gosling and his family are in large part responsible for a big part of me. Countless days, weeks, months, and years found me at their home as a close friend of Paul. There are too many memories and moments to share but I thank God I had the opportunity to know Jack and learn from him. Pat, John, Bill, and Paul, you are in my prayers as you mourn.
