Johanna M Burt

Johanna Burt, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. Johanna was born in Combined Locks on November 15, 1929, daughter of the late George and Susan (Rietveld) Hartjes. On July 19, 1952, she married Manley Burt at Holy Name Church in Kimberly; he preceded her in death in August of 1968. Johanna is survived by three children: Mary (Bill Self) Burt of Freedom; Lori Roeder of Georgia; and Brian (Annette) Burt of Denmark; five grandchildren: Jennifer, Melissa, Emma, Joanna, and Kyle; a sister: Cathy Hartjes of Neenah; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; as well as other relatives, and many friends, She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson Robert Roeder, and three brothers-in-law.

The funeral liturgy for Johanna will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 25, 2010 at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 516 DePere Street in Menasha, with Fr. Paul Radetski officiating. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials be directed to the St. Paul Elder Services Hospice or to Valley VNA.
