Joan M. Kallas

November 23, 1946 — April 17, 2021

Joan M. Kallas passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on Saturday, April 17, 2021. She was born in Oshkosh on November 23, 1946, the daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Schilling) Kallas. Joan graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1964. After graduation she worked at Fulton, Menn, and Nehs for 47 years, now known as Menn Law Firm, until her retirement in 2011. Joan took joy in vacations to see nature, the wildlife and enjoyed good food along the way. One destination she loved was going to Alaska, she visited three times. A passion of hers was supporting animal organizations. Joan is survived by her precious, loving, cat Sean.

Gratitude of thankfulness to the many health care workers who took care of Joan for the last four months, including all of the nurses and staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center of Appleton during her numerous stays there. The last couple of weeks at Cherry Meadows she received compassionate care helping to keep Joan comfortable.

A funeral service for Joan will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
