Joan was born on February 18, 1926 to Barney and Mary (Miller) Gambsky in a home across from St. Elizabeth Hospital. On June 12, 1948 she was united in Marriage to Sheldon Larsen and he preceded her is death on September 25, 1981. Joan was an avid Packer and Brewer fan, but her family was the most important thing to her. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha.
Joan is survived by 3 children; Linda (Dennis) Garrigan, Menasha, Mike (Mary) Larsen, Winneconne, and Charles Larsen, Menasha, 8 grandchildren Mike, Becky, Pat, Jessica, Kelsey, Amanda, Molly, and Charles Jr., 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, a sister, Jane Steger, Appleton, a brother, Thomas (Phyllis) Gambsky, nieces, nephews other relatives, many special neighbors and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Mary Alto.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL at 11:00 AM with Pastor Harley Kopitske officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
