Age 61 died on Wednesday, June 6, at Appleton Medical Center following a short illness. She was born on March 25, 1940 the daughter of Willard and Eileen (Fink) Liebergen. She married John “Jack” Heilman on April 20, 1960 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Hollandtown. Joni enjoyed spending time up North with her family; working in her flower garden, spending time with friends and especially enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her husband: John “Jack” Heilman; her mother: Eileen Liebergen, Kaukauna; two daughters and sons-in-law: Dawn (Bob) Dercks, Kaukauna; Diane (Gary) Soltwisch, Westmont, Illinois; a son and daughter-in-law: Bill (Ann Ashauer) Heilman, Kaukauna; 7 grandchildren: Danielle, Brian and Nick Dercks, Kaukauna; Gregg, Lindsay, and Sam Soltwisch, Westmont, Illinois; and Jonathon Heilman, Kaukauna; a sister and brother-in-law: Lois (Todd) Luedtke, Little Chute; and a brother and sister-in-law: Jerry (Judy Ludwig) Liebergen, Kaukauna; a brother-in-law: Bob (Monika) Heilman, Freedom; a sister-in-law: Diane Heilman, Arizona; a special aunt, Ann Van Linn, Kaukauna; 5 nephews: Danny, Bobby, Nathan, Brandon, and Andrew; and a niece: Rachael. Joni was preceded in death by her father: Willard Liebergen, a brother, William “Bill” Liebergen; her father and mother-in-law: Woodrow and Elizabeth Heilman and brothers-in-law: William B. Heilman and Jim Heilman. The funeral liturgy will be held at 5:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 119 W. Seventh Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Bob Udulutsch, O.F.M. Cap. Friends may call directly at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday. Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
