Your family is being thought about and wished much comfort in the days and weeks to come. As secretary at Janssen School I truly thought of Joan as a friend and wonderful teacher. Bud would you please call us at (920)788-4688 to discuss an Insurance Policy that Joan may have qualified for from the Kimberly School District. God Bless, The Bohnes

Bud, and your girls Lori, Wendy & Lisa, my sincere sympathy to you and the loss of Joan. Your family was so special to our family, going back to your helping with the "chivaree" after Don & I were married! You and Joan were The key people for our "Wan-Fu" evenings along with Bohrers & Knuths. Joan always seemed to sffmile when you brought out your joke folder!. May she Rest In Peace now after such a long journey with illness. I pray for your comfort and peace, Love you all dearly. Thoughts and prayers with all of you. My last memory of Joan was at your 80th birthday Bud and she knew me and we had the best time. I am so grateful for our friendship. God Bless you all, Gwen
Gary and Karen Riemer left a message on March 22, 2020:
Karen and I enjoyed our friendship and interaction with Joan and Bud over the years. Joan was such a sweet lady and "class" personified. She and Bud were what a couple should, one with love and respect. They were definitely "major league" all the way. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

My sympathies to you Bud and your family. I remember Jean and I introducing you and Joan, going on a double date and immediately how excited you and Joan were to continue your relationship and 64 years later I guess we were proven right. I take comfort knowing Joan and her growing up friend Jean (Schroeder) Rusch who passed away in January are once again "palling around" together!

To the Kohn family....may God give you strength in knowing that Joan is in a nicer place watching over you. My last time a seen her was when I stopped by Pelican Lake to visit the Hammens. Your mom and dad were at their place and just finished perch fishing. Of course your dad had that big smile he always has but your mom gave me the biggest hug. To this day I will always cherish that memory. God bless you all and thank you Mrs. Kohn for being my teacher and a friend!
