Age 82, died on Tuesday July 1, 2008, surrounded by her family. Jeri was born on February 1, 1926 in Kimberly, daughter of the late Mathias and Minnie (Hanegraaf) Busch. Jeri married Paul “Dunk” Van Deurzen on June 25, 1952 in Kimberly at Holy Name Catholic Church. They were married for 41 years before Dunk preceded her in death on July 5, 1993. Jeri is survived by her children, Lori (Randy) McSorley, Kaukauna; Mary “Pepe” (Dennis) Haessly, Kaukauna; Diane Van Deurzen (Lisa Otey), Tucson, Arizona; Matthew (Jody) Van Deurzen, Kimberly; Linda (Tony) Gertz, Appleton; Sara ( Todd) Broeren, Sherwood; Paul (Susan) Van Deurzen, Appleton; 13 grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Sean, Laura, and Sarah Haessly; Morgan Van Deurzen; Joe Baehman, Paul Gertz; Jenny, Kelly, and Emily Broeren; Alex and Aaron Van Deurzen; one great grandson, Aydan Haessly; two sisters, Delores Berg; and Betty Ann (Jim) Winsted; four sisters-in-law, Marilyn Staudt, Jeanette Van Deurzen, Dorothy Van Deurzen, Joan Kilgas and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Jeri was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Thomas, James “Pete” and Anthony Busch, and her sister Elaine Weyenberg.

A memorial service and gathering to celebrate Jeri's life will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday July 12, 2008 at the JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 204 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly. Family and friends may visit from 4 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. There will be an additional gathering of family and friends on July 31, 2008 at a time and place to be announced.

The family would like to thank Dr's. Avery and Baum, Marilyn SchutteN.P., and the entire staff and nurses at St. Elizabeth 4 South. The family would also like to thank her neighbors Karen and Bernie Menting for all their help and support throughout the years.
