Jeremy "Jake" Andrew Nodolf

March 4, 1979 — March 12, 2016

Jeremy “Jake” Andrew Nodolf, 37, finally found peace March 12, 2016 after a long battle with the unrelenting painful and debilitating effects of undiagnosed and untreated Lyme Disease.

Jake was born on March 4, 1979. He was the son of Dennis “Denny” and Katherine “Kathy” (nee Klessig) Nodolf. Jake loved the outdoors, nature and sports. Jake grew-up as a young boy attending Highland Elementary and joining the Cub Scouts culminating in his achieving the Rank of Eagle Scout. He was active in water and downhill skiing. He loved playing basketball while he was able.

After graduating in 1997 he attended UW-Milwaukee graduating in Management Information Systems. During college Jake began his career at Northwestern Mutual Life as an intern eventually impressing them to hire him full time. He so enjoyed the good food there. Even though the Lyme Disease disabled him, Jake volunteered at the Appleton Boys and Girls Club and Clintonville summer school. He loved music and was a talented musician. He was a kind and caring gentleman who waged a courageous battle against chronic pain, anxiety, and depression which resulted from bacterial infection from a tiny tick.

Jake's goal was to spread knowledge and awareness about chronic pain and Lyme disease. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Foundation for Total Recovery or Lyme Disease Research would be appreciated.

Jake is survived by his parents Denny and Kathy Nodolf and sister Nicole (Scott) Rutherford as well as two nieces Madison and Quinn Rutherford.

Memorial Services for Jake will be held on Thursday March 17, 2016 at 4PM at the Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel 1592 S. Oneida St., Menasha. A Time of Visitation will be held from 2 PM until time of Service. Private Interment. Special thanks to Dr. Gary Kaplan and Dr. Steven Best and their staffs for their loving care and concern for Jake.
