Our sympathy in the loss of Dr Klingbeil. He was a kind caring man. When my husband had colon cancer, doc assured me that he had gotten all the cancer when he did the surgery. He was also very reassuring every time my hubby had a yearly checkup. He always had a smile and a good sense of humor. Blessings to your family.

Debbi C left a message on April 4, 2020:
My sympathies to Dr. K's family. I worked with him at AMC when I was an administrative assistant. When I trained new employees I would introduce them to him. He would shake their hand with his usual "Hi I'm Jeff Klingbeil Proctologist...do you know where my hands just been?" Of course him and I would laugh. He always made us laugh and when he was on call on a busy weekend would get us lunch to say thank you for all our hard work. Thank you Jeff for all the memories and laughter.
Michele Eggers left a message on April 4, 2020:
I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing Dr. Klingbeil with so many of us. On one of my first nights as a new nurse at AMC, he said to me “I know why they make you nurses work the night shift- because you are uuuugly” I thought “what?!” Then he started to laugh, which made me laugh. His sense of humor always brightened the night shift for us nurses. Years later my father developed colon cancer, and I knew Dr. Klingbeil’s sense of humor and caring attitude were the right fit for my cantankerous father. He talked about his family during dad’s appointments- it was obvious how much you all meant to him. My thoughts are with you.

Our heartfelt condolences to the family. My husband had him for a Dr years ago and they would laugh so hard. My husband teased him when he had an upper and lower GI that our insurance would have paid for 2 tubes and if not he should have done the upper first. Gods grace to your family at this difficult time.
Jennifer Hart left a message on April 4, 2020:
I knew Dr. Klingbeil when I was working at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology as a nurse practitioner. He was an amazing surgeon. I found him very approachable, kind and compassionate. His patients loved him. He had a great sense of humor and a sparkle in his eye. I remember his pager at the hospital was 007. Back in the day, switch board would call a pager number overhead when a staff member was trying to reach him. Rarely did the switch board operator share his humor and call out "double -0-seven" but it made many smile when we heard it. He will be greatly missed. May God bless his family.

So sad to hear about his passing. Dr Klingbeil saved my life in an emergency surgery to repair a perforated ulcer in the middle of the night on 4-4-2014. He was an awesome surgeon. I was sorry when he retired a few years ago but was glad he could do it at such a young age. I hope and pray he had a wonderful retirement that ended way too soon. RIP Dr Klingbeil. 🙏💕
Janis Kloehn left a message on April 4, 2020:
Dr. Klingbeil was an amazing doctor and man. I appreciated his honesty to not operate on my Mother. He said that she would not make it through the surgery. It gave us several months to still love and have our Mother. I am so sadden that he was taken so young. He had the greatest bed side manner and always made you feel special. I enjoyed his humor, smile but, was serious when he had to be. My deepest sympathy to his family. Heaven is lucky to have such a loving and caring man.

I will never forget the many years of working with him at AMC..especially the year that the WI came out and his wife was looking for a WII for one of his employees and her family they adopted for Christmas.. I found one and paged him if I should get it.. he said yes and would pay me when I worked next. He handed me a rolled up amount of money. I counted it and ran after him saying he over payed me. He said I know, keep it, buy some things for your family and merry Christmas!!! I will never forget that!! I will miss you!!

I knew Dr. Klingbeil from working at Thedcare. He was a very generous man. For years he would purchase large tins of popcorn for every unit in the hospital, from my two sons Boy Scout troops. At Christmas time we would go around to each unit and deliver the popcorn with a card from him. The staff loved it and he was so humble. He wanted the staff to know how much he appreciated them. Our deepest sympathy to his family.
