Beautiful Jeanette you have always been a role model of loving acceptance and grace. You did not judge, you listened. You did not supply solutions, you helped people arrive at the solutions they needed to find. You taught patience. You are goodness and kindness and I love you forever. Thank you for the beautiful family you made with Jimmy B, thank you for your love. God Bless you for all Eternity !

It's been such a blessing to have Mrs. Bayer in my life. Her kindness, big heart, and gentle voice will never be forgotten and she will always hold a special place in my heart. One of my favorite memories is helping Mrs. Bayer with the eggroll fundraiser at the St. Joe's fall festival. One year she had another family besides ours make eggrolls but "secretly" told us that ours were her favorite. To the Bayer family, thank you so much for sharing Mrs. Bayer with us all these years and may you find some comfort in the memories you have of her. Mrs. Bayer, I am so grateful for all you've done for my family. You will be missed. Rest in peace and love.

Mrs. Bayer was one of the kindest, most selfless people I’ve ever known. Growing up, she always encouraged me to explore my interests and helped provide opportunities for me to do things I never would have done otherwise. I was able to go out west to see the beauty of Wyoming and Montana with the Girl Scouts as a young teenager with Mrs. Bayer’s help. It was my first faraway trip away from home, but it was the seed that blossomed into a love of traveling and seeing new places. Mrs. Bayer made me feel that there was no limit to what I could do. For that and so many things over the years, I am so thankful that I had her in my life. As much as her passing has left a hole in my heart and life, I know it is nothing compared to what you and your families are going through. I hope you find some comfort in knowing that she touched so many people and had such a positive impact on so many lives.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

May you all take comfort in knowing that she had touched so many people's lives and hearts. She was my second mom. I loved and will miss her dearly and will forever be grateful for her generous heart and all she's done for me. Every time I think about her and how fortunate I am to have had her in my life and to be one of the recipients of her love and generosity, it puts a smile on my face. She expanded my world and exposed me to a world of opportunities. I have more memories with her than I feel I have the right to have and I will cherish forever. Thank you for sharing her with me.

Jeanette was one of the kindest and most engaging of friends. We have wonderful memories of being together looking out at the river, engaging in a rainbow of topics: family, wildlife sightings ,dolls, public policy, lectures at Lawrence art, hobbies , non-profit adventures, and how to make it easier to walk safely on the hill between our houses. We shall greatly miss Jeanette and remember her with love. Our sympathy to all. Milly and Walt Rugland

I am deeply saddened by the news of her passing. Mrs. Bayer was not only our family sponsor but a good friend to our family. She had a huge impact in my life and her love and kindness left her mark. Our parents couldn't provide us much, and she was always there when she could be. She provided us with the little things you never forget as a child and forever grateful for. Mrs. Bayer you will never be forgotten and thank you for all you have done. You were definitely a light in this world

Jeanette was a wonderful human being. She exemplified the Christian life, and she provided for us an example to follow: in generosity, in forgiving, in being nonjudgmental, in intellectual curiosity, in living by principles, in working to make the world a better place. I knew Jeanette for 60 years and am so happy to have had her as a friend.

Jeanette will be missed here at St. Joe's. Her many years of dedicated volunteering with our Bread for the World activities shared Christ with the world. I was personally blessed to have spent time with her here at the parish at many different events. God bless you, Jeanette. May you rest in peace.
