Age 54, passed away at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton on Friday, August 25, 2006. He was born in Appleton on March 2, 1952, son of Leonard “Bookie” and Rita (Kern) Vanden Wyngaard. On April 16, 1977, he married his wife whom he loved for 29 years, Deborah Bradley. He worked for many years at Thilmany’s and later for the Kimberly Area School District. Jay will be remembered for being an avid sports fan, especially local high school sports. He enjoyed spending time with his children, including watching them play sports and hunting and fishing with them at his cabin. Trips to the casino with his parents were special times. Jay was very loving and proud of his family.

Jay is survived by his wife Debbie of Combined Locks; children: Jesse (Jenny) Wyngaard of Appleton, Jenny (William) Matney of Appleton; grandchildren: Hannah, Allison and Brianna; his parents; and a brother, Lee (Linda) Wyngaard. He is further survived by many other family members and good friends. He is preceded in death by a sister, Kim Wyngaard.

The funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Holy Spirit Parish, KIMBERLY CAMPUS, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Appleton Medical Center and Theda Care Hospice for their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Jay’s name is being established.
