Stacy, We are so very sorry for your loss. Although we didnt really know Jared well, we could see how proud he was of his bike & how happy he was when he took off riding it. These types of things seem to have no good explaination other than, God wanted him now & couldnt wait. Take comfort in your memories and may he easy your pain. I am terribly sorry for your loss and will be praying for all of you during your time of need. I will always remember Jared as the little boy who pestered Joey, Lori, and I while we were just relaxing and watching movies at the house. He always wanted to play with us and hang around with his older sister. He was sweet and as cute as could be in an annoying little brother way. My heart goes out to all of you.

In this heartbreak, I keep thinking of how blessed I have been to know Jared. He is the baby of our family: your baby boy and baby brother and Casey’s and my baby cousin. I will never forget the first time I saw him, sitting in his infant chair on Grandma’s dining room table. Even then, he was such a miracle because of his hard beginnings. I remember trying to carry him when I was too small to carry such a big baby. I remember how much, as a little boy, he loved to give hugs and how, when he would visit our family farm, he would find sticks in our yard and refuse to give them up when he came inside (despite the coaxing of his sister and cousins). And then he grew into a fine and kind young man, surrounded by friends and family. As his big cousin, I’m so proud of him. I know we will all go forward missing him, but also so blessed to have had the privilege of knowing him, and will celebrate, with our memories, his life.

Jared's friends, family and loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. I was among the 4 others who with him moments after the accident. We were with him doing anything and everything we could to help. I was holding his hand and letting him know that we were there to help him and more help was on the way. It may mean little to you now, but as time goes - you will be glad that very kind people were there with him holding and talking to him. I lost a very close cousin a few years ago and am now very glad he had someone there with him holding and talking to him. I was hoping and praying he would pull through, but God had a plan and needed him for it. He is now looking down upon his loved ones and watching over you with all his love. I am so sorry for your loss. Again you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless you and may you find peace.
