Janice M."Tootie" Sauer

Janice M. “Tootie” Sauer, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at home.

Tootie was born on August 17, 1936 to Martin and Vivian (Wilson) Jansen. On April 19, 1958 she was united in marriage to Robert Sauer in Appleton. Tootie worked for many years as a special needs aid for the Appleton Area School District. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling, especially to their trailer in Crivitz. Tootie also enjoyed taking weekend trips with her sisters. Most of all family time was very important to her and the special times and memories they shared will always be treasured.

Tootie is survived by her three children; Steve (Michelle) Sauer, Sharon (Paul Beardsley) Julius, Sheryl (Dean) Derouso, eight grandchildren; Brad Sauer, Kacie Sanders, Breanna Martell, Jessica Julius, Anthony Triolo, Corey Triolo, Tyler Derouso, and Preston Derouso, her siblings; Marilyn (Roger) Melum, Darlene (Butch) Mirek, Carol (Denny) Walter, Gary (Wendy) Jansen, sisters-in-law; Gloria Jansen and Sandy Jansen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tootie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, brothers and sister; Barb Losse and Ronnie and Larry Jansen and a granddaughter, Amanda Merie Sauer.

The memorial service for Tootie will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
