Alex and Dennis,
I was so sad to hear about Janice's passing. As you know, Janice and I met when our girls were in dance together with FVS. I have some wonderful memories from those years and especially from our trip in August of 2008 to the cottage in White Pine, MI. We loved touring the copper mine, eating at Konteka, watching the gorgeous sun sets behind the hotel... I have wonderful memories and photos from those years! I will continue to lift your family in prayer as you go through this difficult time. A special note to Alex... Your Mother adored you as you already know.... you were her bright light, Alex. And if there is EVER anything I can do for you now or in the future, please let me know. Blessings to you. ~Lisa Parrett and Family~

Hi Dennis,
I have never met you before but I wanted to reach out to you to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. Janice and I were high school friends (I live in the San Francisco bay area now) and I have awesome memories of her. I used to live 6 blocks away from their house in Grafton and we spent many days doing simple, wonderful things together. One of my fondest memories was when Janice wanted to plan a high school party in her barn. I volunteered to help her “clean out the barn”…after all I can sweep, I can clean…but little did I know that “cleaning out the barn” meant getting rid of the bats! Not only was it the first time I had ever seen a bat, but it was definitely the first (and only) time I have spent an afternoon trying to get bats out of a barn before a party. We had so much fun! That’s just one of the simple, wonderful memories I have growing up with Janice. All of us that have had the privilege to know and love Janice are grieving, but none so much as you, her husband, daughter and family who were luckiest to be able to spend the most time with her.

Forever Friend left a message on February 18, 2014:

The sun will still shine
The grass will still grow
The wind will still blow through the trees

Everything is the same
But everything has changed
Missing Janice brings me to my knees

To my knees asking God
Why Janice, why now
We will so miss her loving ways

But God's Word is our strength
Filled with promise and love
We will trust and give him praise

Give him praise, give him thanks for our Janice
For all the special times we shared
Cherishing every memory
Never forgetting how she loved and how she cared.

Everything has changed
But everything is the same
Loving God brings me to me knees.
