Janette L. Woods

Janette L. Woods, age 81, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was born on October 28, 1931, to the late Thomas and Cecelia Hardy and was a lifelong resident of Appleton. She married Thomas Woods on January 29, 1955, and they spent 58 wonderful years together. Janette always had a deep faith and was a lifelong member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She greatly enjoyed volunteering at St. Patrick's bookstore and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Janette always had a generous heart, and she and Tom were proud to help troubled young men find their way. She also enjoyed spending time vacationing in Florida and at Boulder Lake for many years. What Janette was truly passionate about though was her family. They were always the most important thing to her in her life, and she was always willing to do whatever she could to help. She will be truly missed.

Janette is survived by her husband Thomas Woods; children: Colleen (Larry) Lueck, Michael (Antonet) Woods, and Timothy (Debbie) Woods; grandchildren: Aaron Woods, Andrea (Todd) Phillips, Jerrod Woods, James Woods, and Andrew Woods. She is further survived by her dear friends, Marie DeKeyser and Fr. Timon Costello, many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Janette was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Cecelia; siblings: Geraldine Rossmeissl, Owen Hardy, Frank Hardy, Thomas Hardy, Maxine Kramer, Norbert Hardy, Mary Patricia Besaw, and Cecelia LeMere.

Funeral liturgy for Janette will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton with Fr. Don Zuleger officiating. Hours of visitation will be held at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest privately at St. Mary's Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Janette's name.
