Jane Yim Fong Ng

Jane Ng, age 66 of Appleton, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison, following a lingering illness. Jane was born in China on November 3, 1948, daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Chin) Moy. She came to America in 1961 to join her father who were already here, living in Milwaukee. She attended junior high school in Milwaukee, and moved to Appleton where she was part of the first graduating class of Appleton East High School. Her family operated a restaurant in downtown Appleton for many years, but Jane will be best remembered for working at Culver's West for several years. At Culver's she enjoyed her co-workers, her regular customers, and all the friends that she made. In 1973, Jane married Peter Ng in Appleton, after the two were introduced at the family restaurant. Jane loved gardening and caring for her roses, cooking, and baking for her family. More than anything else, Jane loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband: Peter Ng of Appleton; four children: Phillip Ng of Menasha; Karen Ng of Fort Collins, Colorado; Eric Ng of Appleton; and Ryan Ng of Appleton; two brothers: Way (Linda) Moy of New York City and Robert (Mae) Moy of North Caldwell, New Jersey; a sister: Susan Moy of Appleton; and several nieces and nephews: Laura, Daniel, Lillian, Gilbert, Michael, James, and Jennifer. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and by two nieces, Katie and Patricia Moy.

The family invites friends and relatives to gather for a time of visitation on Sunday afternoon, February 22, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Jane's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the special angels that cared for her during her illness. They include everyone at Appleton Medical Center, especially the ICU nurses and staff, Dr. J.C. Anderson for his many years of compassionate care, the staff at Madison's Select Specialty Hospital for going over and above what we expected of them, and Dr. Croft for everything she did for Jane. We will never forget the love and kindness we have been shown.
