Jan E. Seis

Jan died at her home on April 9, 2004, at the age of 59. She was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on February 10, 1945, daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Frances) Jordan. She was a good friend of Bill W’s. Jan grew up on a farm near Lomira and moved to Fond du Lac in her teens, graduating in 1963 from Goodrich High School. She married Joseph Seis in 1963. Jan enjoyed music, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and other word games. Jan also enjoyed spending time with her husband and young people, and enjoyed traveling and taking nature rides. Jan was active in Cub Scouts as a den leader, pack commissioner, district trainer, treasurer, and earned the district award of merit. She was also an active member of Holy Cross Catholic in Kaukauna.

Jan is survived by her husband: Joe Seis of Kaukauna; two sons: Phillip Seis of Murrieta Springs, California; and Carl Seis of Appleton; four sisters: Julienne Smith, Racine; Lou Ann (John) Gudex of Campbellsport; Sharon (Wally) Spardau of Jackson, Wisconsin; Marge Jahn of North Fond du Lac; three brothers-in-law: Norbert Thiesen of Campbellsport, Charles (Sharon) Seis of Schofield, and Ben Nowakowski, St. Francis, Wisconsin; four sisters-in-law: Florence Jordan of Racine, Judy Geib of Cascade, Bernice (Dick) Siddall of, Duluth, Minnesota, and Carol Seis of Milwaukee; her three Godsons: Steven Gudex, Brian Jordan and Allan Fitzpatrick, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Bill and John, a sister Jeanie, and brothers-in-law Richard Greise, Allan Smith and Allan Jahn.

The funeral liturgy for Jan will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 – 7 PM and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the services. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at the funeral home at 7:00 PM Monday.
