Age 88, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2001, at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah. He was born on June 30, 1912 in Aberdeen, Scotland. James served in the British Air Force for six years during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth “Betty” (Milton) Thom; a son, Irvine (Cheryl) of Downers Grove, IL; a daughter, Irene (Daniel E.) Kocher of Appleton; five grandchildren, Kaley (Jeff) Stoeberl, Jennifer (Fiance Stan Ciezczak) Thom, Daniel J.M. Kocher, Susan (Dan) Becker, Wesley Kocher; two great grandchildren, Alexander Stoeberl and Lily Becker. James is further survived by a sister, Nessie Blair and many nieces and nephews. Private family services were held.
