Jim Ziolkowski, age 73 of Menasha, passed away with his family by his side, on Saturday morning, January 2, 2016, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Jim was born in Neenah on July 18, 1942, son of the late Frank and Louise (Mueller) Ziolkowski. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, and served four years in the United States Navy, and was stationed in Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. On November 5, 1966, he married Joyce Keberlein at St. Mary's Church in Menasha, and the couple was blessed with three daughters. He loved being out in his boat with family and friends, chasing walleyes at Three Lakes. A spring fishing trip tradition was started by Jim and his father Frank and has grown to include Jim's friends, in-laws, and grandchildren. He also loved to travel with Joyce, making several Casino runs around the Midwest as well as their own annual fall fishing trip at Three Lakes.

Jim is survived by his wife: Joyce Ziolkowski of Menasha; a daughter: Brenda (Dar) Wiesner of Kaukauna and their children: Amber and her fiancé Brandon, Alan, and Grace; a daughter: Renee (Aron) Weiberg of Sheboygan Falls and their daughter Brooklyn; and a daughter: Denise (Chris) Struebing of Brillion and their sons Taylor and Alexander. His is also survived by Joyce's family: Robert Keberlein of Sturgeon Bay, Ronald Keberlein and his friend Dianne of Menasha, Richard (Yvonne) Keberlein of Menasha, Paula (Fritz) Endter of Menasha, Mary Keberlein of Menasha, Cheryl (Rod) Wolf of Appleton, Kurt (Michelle) Keberlein of Menasha, and John Strebe of Menasha. Jim also leaves behind a longtime friend, Don Jacobs of Menasha, as well as countless nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, by Joyce's parents Clarence and Margaret Keberlein; a brother Dr. Vernon Ziolkowski; and two in-laws: Sue Strebe and Peter Keberlein, and his fishing buddy Bob McCarthy.

The funeral liturgy for Jim will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 528 Second Street in Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 1592 Oneida Street in Appleton, and again at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.

Dad, you are an inspiration to all of us. This illness was not an easy one for you to bear, but your true spirit showed itself to everyone. Your humor and the twinkle in your eye was not lost to us, not for a moment. We will always remember how you faced adversity head on, and will always be thankful for the years with you that we were blessed to share. -All our love, your girls.

Jim, God may have you in his keeping; I have you in my heart forever. Love you forever, Joyce.

The family would like to thank Jim's caregivers, Dr. Nathan Gruenwald, Dr. Ray Georgen, Dr. Patrick Brennan, Dr. Nathan Munson, Dr. Tom Klinkhammer and his nurse Michelle, and the entire staffs at Oakridge Gardens and Theda Clark Medical Center for all of the wonderful care they gave to Jim and his family.
