Dear Whittaker family, I was saddened to hear that Jim passed away. He always took the time to say "HI" when I would stop in at Calumet Equity to see my mom at work. He truly cared for his work family and will be missed. Stacy (Buechel) Klapperich

I'am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing and my condolences to Bobbie and the Whittaker family. I will always remember Jim for his dry wit and love of the natural world.A fresh snow at Ledge View Nature Center would mean Jim would be one of the first on the ski trails. Jim was a dedicated Friends Of Ledge View board member who spent many hours learning Quick Books and balancing the Friends books as board treasurer. I will always treasure the many conversations we had on past shared experiences and events happening in the natural world. Ron Zahringer
