James Edward Eick

December 8, 1927 — April 15, 2012

James Edward Eick, 84, of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center.

Jim was born on December 8, 1927 to Edward and Lucy (Rankin) Eick in Appleton. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as an MP. Jim was united in marriage to Lilah Archambeault on September 17, 1949. He worked at the Kimberly Clark Lakeview Mill for 36 years until his retirement in 1988. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, spending time with his friends and trips to the casino in Carter and Lac du Flambeau. He liked going up north to the Minocqua area. Jim took great pride in his yard and found pleasure in feeding the squirrels and birds. He was a wonderful caregiver and took responsibility for many family members. Jim treasured his relationships with his wife and family.

Jim will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Lilah Eick, three daughters; Victoria (Wayne) Johnson of Milwaukee, Debra Mickelson of Appleton and Jamie (Ronald) Kersten of Little Chute, five grandchildren; Levi Johnson, Kendra (Michael) Arguello, Jill and Cole Mickelson and Cody Kersten, a sister-in-law, Donna Foxgrover, two special nieces and their families; Lori (Todd) Keating and Cienna and Chenoa, Kari (Steven) McDonald, and Claire and Grant, friend Bruce Mickelson, other relatives and many friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Eugene Eick.

In keeping with Jim's wishes the family will hold a private family service at a later date.
