James E. Froeming

Jim Froeming, age 59 of Appleton, passed unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, January 15, 2018. Jim was born in Appleton on June 29, 1959, son of the late Edward and Donna (Hipp) Froeming. Jim was a proud graduate of Fox Valley Technical Institute and worked for many years at all levels of computer work and programming at various companies around the Valley. In his free time, Jim enjoyed woodworking as well as competing in and operating trivia contests.

Jim is survived by his wife: Lori Schmidt of Appleton; his step-son: Bill Schmidt of Gillett; a sister: Sara Froeming of Appleton; a brother: David (Debbie) Froeming of Appleton and their children Nathan and Natalie; his mother-in-law: Linda Hathaway; and a brother-in-law: Dan (Lisa) McGrath.

A celebration of Jim’s life is being planned for this spring. Details will be announced at a later date.
