Carrie Lemke left a message on February 21, 2011:
I could not have been more heart-broken when my mother told me the news. As the obituary said, Mr Strobl (as he was always known to me), was an incredibly strong man. I've known the Strobl family all the way back to Kindergarten...something like 31 years? Last night I was thinking about the very first time I went to Great America - it was with the Strobl's. I remember having a blast on Parish Campouts...as a child it was one of the "mecca's" of summer. Laughs, kindness, a person I always looked up to and respected as a child. Even though it has been years since I've been able to see any of you Strobls in person, please know you are in my thoughts and every prayer. I wish you peace...and know love is being sent your way.
