Stephani, James A.

James A. Stephani, age 49, died unexpectedly, Monday evening, January 15, 2007. He was born June 13, 1957, to the late Raymond M. and Mary A. (Hooyman) Stephani, in Freedom, where he was a resident all of his life. Jim graduated from Freedom High School in 1975 and had been employed by Appleton Papers for 31 years. He was an avid fisherman and was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Appleton Papers Quarter Century Club. He is survived by his four children, Mary Stephani, a student at Marquette University, Milwaukee; Zachary Stephani, a student at University of Wisconsin-Milwakee; Emily Stephani, Appleton; Caitlin Stephani, Appleton; two brothers, Michael (Janice) Stephani, DePere; Frank (Sally) Stephani, Appleton; four sisters, Mary Ellen Hofacker, Freedom; Rosanne Hofacker, Appleton; Cathy (Rich) Green, Green Bay; and his twin sister, Ann (Rick) Weyenberg, Freedom. The funeral liturgy for James will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, January 19, 2007, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, N4088 County Trunk E, Freedom, with Father Dave Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday and on Friday at the church from 11:00 am, until the time of the mass. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at 7:00 pm, Thursday. A memorial fund is being established.
