Age 46, died in Neenah on September 23, 2002. Jackie was born to Riley and Arline (Radmer) Calkins in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on December 13, 1955. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Park Falls in 1974. On October 28, 1983, she married Garry Vanden Boogaard, in Kimberly. While living in the town of Harrison, she worked at Essen Mart, in both Neenah and Darboy. Jackie loved to bowl, golf, outfish her husband, and enjoyed feeding and watching wild birds. Many Sundays were spent watching her favorite football team, the Packers.

Jackie is survived by her husband Garry, father, Riley Calkins of Park Falls, two brothers: Riley “Corky” (Judy) Calkins and their children DuWayne, Jessie, and Jodi of Portland, Oregon, and Wayne (Shelly) Calkins and their children Amy, Dustin and Kyle of Elkhorn; one sister, Rene (Kevin) Sampson of Kaukauna; a mother-in-law, Audrey Vanden Boogaard of Appleton; two sisters-in-law: Pat (Tom) Asman of Kimberly and their children Jeff Asman and Randy (Anne) Asman, and Mary (Len) Milton of Darboy and their children Jenny (Jason) Chevalier and Laurie (Pete) Ritger; three brothers-in-law: Jim (Sherree) Vanden Boogaard of Oshkosh and children Marria (Gary) Marg, Jessie (Daniel) Pickney and Sarah Vanden Boogaard; Kim (Cheryl) Vanden Boogaard of Hortonville and their children Ben and Cory, and Bob Vanden Boogaard of Chippewa Falls.

Jackie is preceded in death by her mother Arline, and a father-in-law, Bernard Vanden Boogaard.

The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2002, at the funeral home, with Deacon Pete Rienl officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Theda Clark, especially Dr. Phillip Yazbak.
