In love and friendship, here is a poem that has comforted me in sad times. Hope it gives you the same comfort and peace. Hugs. Nancy Don’t think of him as gone away, His journey’s just begun. Life holds so many facets, This earth is only one. Just think of him as resting From the sorrow and the tears, In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days or years. Think how he must be wishing That you could know today, How nothing but your sadness Can really pass away. And think of him as living In the hearts of those he loved. For nothing loved is ever lost … and he was loved so much. .....author unknown

Harvey & Nancy Kandler left a message on April 6, 2009:
Dear Sue and family: We were grieved to hear of Irv's death. All that was said in the obituary is true--he always was loving and generous. He served as the legal expert for the Pied Piper Nursery School housed at Immanuel and was generous with his advice, not expecting remuneration. His many feats throughout the community certainly illustrate his leadership and desire to make life better. He was looked up to by so many, and we have done the same. We thank God for his life and his witness, and may God take care of him in his loving arms for all eternity. May you feel God's loving care from the community and from God himself. God is able where we are unable and God has the last word, which is the reality of Easter. Good Friday has lost its grip, and we gain the Victory through His resurrection! God be with you as you mourn. Sincerely, Nancy & Harvey Kandler P.S. We are in Virginia so will not be able to be with you, but will be in spirit.

A lifetime of memories, our beginnings, our youth, and our final years, although a good deal of the time was spent apart, I always respected and loved you as only a brother could. Rest in peace, Irv. Love Bud

My deepest sympathies to the family of Irv. I was just thinking about Irv last week. I was going through some papers and found an old memo from him regarding my review. A rush of very fond memories came back. I still remember exactly what we talked about that day...he made me laugh! He has left quite a legacy and I feel blessed to have known him. God Bless you all.

Sue, Ann, Gregg and families: I'm so sorry for your loss. As you know, I worked at McCarty for nearly 14 years and thoroughly enjoyed working with and for Mr. Curry. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word. He will be missed by many! Sara (Jansen) Cohen

My father, who's e-mail is temporarily down, (above) asked me to share his condolences with, you, Irvs family at this time. I know if he could write he could say more, but I do know that my father held Irv in as high as regard as anyone he speaks of even though its been years since they have been in touch. I too knew Irv and although its been many years I to feel as though I have been touched by his life.
