Irma Wulff Marko

Irma died peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018. She was born in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, November 14, 1918 to the late Frederick and Dorothea Wulff, a few days after the Armistice. She was a very accomplished musician and began playing the pipe organ at Zion Ev Lutheran Church in South Milwaukee for the German services at age 14. She and her siblings studied music and performed for many venues as a family quintet. She continued studying at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and received various certificates, awards and honors throughout her years. She was an active member in the Milwaukee Music Educators Association and in the Piano Teachers Guild.

She was married to Joseph Marko on June, 22 1946 and taught piano lessons until their retirement in 1976. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, tennis, camping, hiking and her family.

Irma is survived by her two daughters: Barbara (Robert) Luedtke and Carla (Robert) Miller; two grandaughters: Anne (Brant) Luedtke Pewitt and Kristin (Bryan) Luedtke Reising; two great grandchildren: Cayden and Gavin Reising, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, four sisters: Erica Juntenen, Monica Herrmann, Dorothy Froling, and Muriel Wulff; and one brother: Christian Wulff.

The Christian Funeral Service for Irma be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church, 930 East Florida Avenue in Appleton, with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Interment will be at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee where she will be burial alongside Joe. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
