Age 63, died on Saturday, August 2, 2003 of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Ione was born in Appleton on April 28, 1940, daughter of the late William and Ella (Syring) Kearn. She is survived by her 5 children, James (Cynthia); Timothy (Marie); Dean; Rick (Chris); and Vicky Reffke; 4 sisters, Mildred Boushley; Geraldine (Roger) Heling; Marion Dietrich; Carol (Jerry) Young; 3 brothers, William (Marlene) Kearn; Gordon (Joyce) Kearn; Robert (Joan) Kearn; 17 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Edith Kearn; and brother-in-law, Al Boettcher. Ione was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Moon; Bernice (Clarence) Hostettler; Eleanor Boettcher; and brothers, Kenneth; Donald; Clyde Kearn; grandson, Timothy Reffke, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Gerald Dietrich. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Hospice Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 6 from 9 until 10:45 a.m. The interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Theda Care At Home Hospice for their loving care of Ione.
