Age 89, entered eternal life on Monday, March 12, 2001, at Franciscan Care Center, Appleton. Hy was born on October 20, 1911, in Oconto, to the late Henry and Emma (Harper) Dagen. She was a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church and her profound faith was apparent in her daily life. Hy was an avid reader. She is survived by many cousins and special friends. Hy was preceded in death by her brother, Bertram G. Dagen.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 S. State Street, Appleton, with Fr. Michael K. O’Rourke officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The family asks that any memorials be directed to the charity of their choice.
