Howard ''Howie'' Gmeiner

HOWARD “HOWIE” M. GMEINER
Appleton

Age 85, died Thursday morning February 15, 2001 Century Oaks in Darboy. He was born to the late Max and Caroline (Weber) Gmeiner on March 28, 1915 in Appleton. Howie married the former Regina De Wildt who preceded in him in death in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and softball and in his younger years played 2nd base in the American Legion League.

Howie is survived by a son, Jerry (Judy) Gmeiner; two daughters, Mary Ann (Nick) Roth and Carol Nieft and close friend, George; one sister, Joan Rooyakkers; two sisters in law, Rita (Joe) Vander Wyst and Cecil Van Asten; three brothers in law, Joe De Wildt, Clarence (Margaret) De Wildt and Erv Steinhauer; nine grandchildren, Debbie (Jeff) Valence, Lynn (Dan) Menting, Jerry (Kelley) Gmeiner, Gary (Michelle) Gmeiner, Brenda (Mike) Bixby, Marsha (Dave) Clark, Sara (Bob) Roth, Nicolette (Pete) Ellenbecker, Cindy (Bob) Roth; thirteen great grandchildren, Brooke, Brittany, Marissa, Riley, Taylor, Trevor, Dylan, Felicia, Collette, Daniel, Collin, Nathan and Tasha. He will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and special friends, Darlene and Ken Hoffman and Hazel and John Parker.

The Liturgy Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 17, 2001 at ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH AT Morrison Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton with Fr. Daniel C. Gilsdorf officiating. Friends may call directly at CHURCH on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent directly to the American Cancer Association.

A special thanks would like to be extended to the staff of Century Oaks in Darboy and Hospice of Affinity.
