Hildegarde Leick

June 15, 1919 — February 7, 2013

Hildegarde Leick, age 93, of Kaukauna, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at American Grand Assisted Living. She was born on June 15, 1919, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Otto and Barbara (Liesch) Klemmer. On May 27, 1937, Hildegarde married Eldor Leick at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna; they had 69 wonderful years together. She was a faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Hildegarde was a member of the Christian Mothers, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the retired couples bowling league. She was an excellent homemaker, and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Hildegarde is survived by her son: Roger (Mary Jane) Leick, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Stephen (Jean) Leick, Kaukauna; Mary (Scott) Ladwig, Wrightstown; Robin (Robert) Fiala, Kaukauna; and Craig (Crystal) Leick, Kaukauna; great-grandchildren: Stephanie and Amanda Leick; Mary Alyssa Ladwig; Samantha and Robert Fiala; Zander and Sienna Leick; and great-great granddaughter: Nevaeh Leick; three sisters-in-law: Marie Hartjes, Combined Locks, Helen Sachs, Kaukauna and Elizabeth “Betty” Vander Wyst, Combined Locks; further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldor “Gigi” Leick; three infant sons, one great-grandson, brother, Herbert Klemmer, brothers -in-law: Elmer (Ann) Leick, Edward Hartjes, Nicholas (Phoebe) Leick, Robert Sachs and Roger Vander Wyst; sisters-in-law: Florence (Julius) Hartjes and Delores (Hilton) Schuh.

The funeral liturgy for Hildegarde will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Fr. Tom Pomeroy will be officiating. Interment will take place at the parish cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of mass. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
