Kratzer family, know I and beth will have you in our thoughts and prayers as want to share a couple of memories with you. As you know used to come to Appleton for holidays and untimely stay over night as fun times we’re plenty. One time as we were leaving uncle Carl corralled me and gave me a little money to buy something for myself well aunt Helen did not know this and slipped me some spending money too! Well it shows their generousity that they had and my guess is many people also experienced this too. Another memory was she would tell me her philosophy regarding being home from school sick. She would tell me that her kids would stay home one extra day once feeling better. Wow another day off from school what a great idea at the time I thought and to this day we would practice with our kids!. Silly memories but memories no less of my God Mother that will never forget. So may all your special and silly memories help you during this time. God’s blessings. Mike/Beth Kratzer

Helen was our neighbor. We loved visiting with her - she was a riot. She told great stories and we enjoyed her added opinions and editorial comments. We also often heard how much she loved her family and how grateful she was for the love and support, especially in the last few years of her life. You guys did a great job taking care of her. We will miss her.

Helen was a benevolent matriarch from "the greatest generation." I remember her deep infectious laugh, especially when telling funny stories about her grandchildren. When my husband Peter died in 1998, Helen didn't say, "let me know what I can do": she told me to bring family members who were arriving from out of town to come over "now" and use the pool, sit around the patio, and relax while sharing stories. I will never forget that kindness which was so typical of Helen. May she rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Kratzers who became well-known to us through Riverview Country Club and our friendship with Trina. Once you are good friends with one of the Kratzers, it's as though they make you honorary family members! Helen's wit, wisdom and thoughtful opinions are all good memories. Sorry that we won't be at the Memorial, but we will be thinking of her while enjoying the action at the Solheim Cup.
