Age 85, passed away at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute on Tuesday, May 30, 2007. She was born in Appleton on April 1, 1922, the daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Sternagel) Kirk. Helen worked at Kimberly Clark for many years as a finisher. She had many interests. Helen was a student of The Bible and a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton, serving with the Ladies Aid and helping with St. Paul’s School. She was an avid softball player and loved to travel.

Helen is survived by her brothers and sisters: Edna (Max) Kroiss of Appleton, Otto (Anna) Kirk of Appleton and Floyd (Sylvia) Kirk of Little Chute. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Norman (Sally), Earl, Ervin (Sylvia), Robert (Jane) and Walter Kirk; and sister, Marian Surma and Eunice Kirk.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison St., Appleton, with Rev. Kenneth L. Frey officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Parkside Care Center for taking such good care of our sister, especially Kelly for the last few days.
