Helen Jeanette Gosz

Helen J. Gosz, 89, of Appleton died Saturday August 13, 2011, at her residence. She was born February 2, 1922 in Reedsville, WIS, daughter of the late John and Margaret Van Der Louis. Helen married Clarence Gosz on May 11, 1946. He preceded Helen in death on March 23, 2003.

Helen was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton. She was a member of the VFW Post #2778 Ladies Auxiliary; she enjoyed bowling, crafts, and bingo.

She is survived by her seven children, three daughters, Barbara (Randy) Ulrich, Carol (Brad) Brittain, and Mary Kay (Bruce) Kettner; four sons, Dick, Jerry (Annabelle), Mike (Linda), and Jeff (Joan); 12 Grandchildren; many Great-Grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Mangarha. She was preceded in death by a son, James Paul, and a daughter-in-law, Mona.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, Appleton, with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Helen's family would like to thank Joan Haag, Heather Wittmann, and the Hospice volunteers for the love and care of our Mother. And Fr. Falk for his compassion for our family.
