Helen C. Sachs

Helen C. Sachs, 85 of Kaukauna, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Paul Home.

Helen was born on September 15, 1929 to Emil and Helena (Eickenbush) Leick in Kaukauna. On July 14, 1951 she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Sachs at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Appleton. Helen was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking and her trips to Las Vegas with her husband and later with her sister Betty. Helen enjoyed going to “God's Little Acre” in Silver Cliff and the time she spent there was always cherished.

Helen is survived by her six children; Robert J. (Jan) Sachs of Hiles; William Sachs of Kaukauna; Debbie Sigl, special friend Bill Udell of Oconto, Becky (David) Gerber of Vero Beach, Florida; Brian Sachs of Kaukauna, and David Sachs, special friend Michelle Van Thiel of Kaukauna; five grandchildren: Stacy Sachs, special friend Rob Horst, Brad (Amy)Sachs, Jennifer Sigl, Joseph Sigl, special friend Angie Livingstone, and Brady Michael Ryan, two sisters; Marie Hartjes and Betty Vander Wyst, a sister-in-law, Doris Williams, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, a son Barry Sachs, siblings; Eldor (Hildergard) Leick, Elmer (Ann) Leick, Nick (Phoebe) Leick, Florence (Tosh) Hartjes and Delores (Tut) Schuh, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Butter Vander Wyst, Ed Hartjes, Steve Williams, and Evelyn (Wally) Kohl.

The funeral liturgy for Helen will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM at ST KATHERINE DREXEL, ST MARY CHURCH, 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
