Craig Johnson left a message on February 24, 2016:
Dear Carolyn, This is Craig Alex's Uncle. I just read your message and I was touched. I haven't visited this site in years but Alex would've been 19 in two days and I felt like I needed this. Not sure you know this but despite the fact that Alex was born in Ohio my brother (Alex's father) and I grew up down the street from Kennedy school we are also graduates of LaFollette and the thoughts you expressed are some of the same thoughts I have on a daily basis. Alex and Heidi (and Payton) were the light of our entire world...honestly they still are we have never forgotten them. I still visit his tree every now and then when I'm back home and still visit his picture in the hallway at Kennedy. Thank you for this post it meant a lot to me. I'm writing this in hopes that someday you may find it again and see this. You will be happy to know that our family although will never forget them honors them often and we have all found peace and unbelievable joy in our re-built family. May this message find you well and happy someday it certainly found me :) Love Alex's Uncle Craig

Im Carolyn Miller, one of Alex's friends from Kennedy Elementary, i just wanted to let you know Alex comes across my mind sometimes and I wonder how he wouldve grow and howd he look as a junior this year at LaFollette High school. I remember crying in the first grade when they planted his memorial tree on the side of Kennedy elementry and raising my hand to tell everyone how good of a friend he was to me.
RIP Alex Johnson, youll never be forgotten.
