Trudy Richeson left a message on April 6, 2009:
Harry was one of the kindest people I know. He was my uncle, and in all my years, I do not ever remember him raising his voice or correcting me for anything, even though, I am sure I deserved it, at times. I remember all the slides he used to take. Harry and my Dad used to go out picture taking whenever he and Verla came to Rockford to visit or we came to Appleton to visit. At his home, he would set up the screen and show his slides that he recently had taken, while Verla popped popcorn. He was such a nice man, and will be surely missed.
Bill and Sharon Penn left a message on April 6, 2009:
Our deepest sympathy to the Koehnke family. Harry was the greatest uncle. He always had a even disposition and was caring. We will miss him dearly. We could not make the funeral as we were in Phoenix until January 6, 2002. Our thoughts and sympathies are with all of you
