Harry A. Langenhuizen

Harry Langenhuizen, 87, of Appleton, went home to spend Christmas with mom, December 25, 2013. He was born on December 1, 1926, the son of the late George F. and Jennie (Van Gennip) Langenhuizen. Harry served his country in the U.S .Army from 1946-1947. On November 29, 1947, he married Dorothy Friebel at Holy Name of Jesus in Kimberly. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2009. Harry was employed for over 22 years at Bergstrom Paper Company retiring in 1989. He enjoyed his many winters in Casa Grande, Arizona.
Harry is survived by his children and their families: Mary (Jay) Close, New London, and their children: Jennifer (Doug) Blohm and their child, Audrie; Joseph (Nicole) and their children, Madison and Allison; and Jayme Close; Jerry (Diana) Langenhuizen, Larsen, and their children: Paul; Sarah (Josh) Lewis and their children, Tyler Langenhuizen, Cassie Miller, Abbie and Ryan Orlando, Jordyn and Garrett Lewis; Rick (Sue) Langenhuizen, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and their children: Becky (Tony) Bouquet and their children, Kalle, Sierra, and Jacques; Rachael Langenhuizen and her children, Jarryn and Samantha and Antonio Vialpiando; and Devon Langenhuizen; Mike (Brenda) Langenhuizen, New London, and son, Craig (friend Traci) Langenhuizen; and step-children, Scott (Angie) Krug and Shelley (Kevin) Alsplaugh; Kevin (Shirley) Langenhuizen, Hortonville, and daughter, Melissa (friend James) Langenhuizen; Allen (Julia) Langenhuizen, Darboy, and their children, Emma and Sofie; and Chris (Deb) Langenhuizen, Green Bay, and their children, Carissa and Gabriella.
Harry is further survived by his brother-in-law, Richard Friebel, Fremont, and sister-in-law, Margaret (James) Greely, Crandon, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his five sisters, Ann, Bertha, Hattie, Gean, and Frances; four brothers, George, John, Charlie, and Martin.
The funeral liturgy for Harry will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Holy Spirit/Holy Name Church, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly. Father Bob Kollath will be officiating. Burial will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
