Harold M. Kachur

Harold M. Kachur, age 74, of Menasha, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. On September 25, 1941, Harold was born in Neenah to the late Earl and Eleanor (Raether) Kachur. Upon graduation from Menasha High School in 1959, he served in the United States Army, and then went to work in the printing field. He retired as President of Graphic Communications Center in Appleton in 2013. Harold loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. This pastime provided opportunities for much valued time with family and friends. His passion for sturgeon spearing led to his involvement with the Sturgeon Advisory Board, allowing him to work to preserve this precious resource. Harold's love of the outdoors has been passed onto his children and will live on in his grandchildren.
Harold will be missed by his loving wife, Janet (Sticka) Kachur; their children: Michael (Lisa) and their children: Jacob and Taylor; Timothy (Reynee) and their children: Koltyn and Maklyn; his brother, Gordon (Jean) Kachur; sister-in-law, Barbara Doty; brother-in-law, Jim Sticka; and many relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth McNamara; brother, Donald Kachur; and brother-in-law, James Doty.
In keeping with Harry's wishes, there will be no service held at this time. There will be a celebration of his life in the summer.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Curtis Baltz and his staff for all of their care and kindness over the years as well as the nurses, doctors, and staff of the ICU- Words cannot express our thanks to all of you. You helped us greatly in Harry's final journey.
