I was privileged to have met Harley when I recieved his LWHS award. With the assistance of the scholarship I was able to get my Bachelors from UW-Madison, and later went on to get my Master's and fullfilled my desire to become a therapist for troubled teens. Harley was very special and will be greatly missed. My deepest condolenses to the Cody and Leigh.

I met Mr. Splitt and his wife at the scholarship award ceremony my senior year of high school at Little Wolf High School in Manawa, WI when I found out I was the recipient of his scholarship to help me achieve my dream to go to Marquette University to study speech pathology and audiology. I am now a sophomore at Marquette. My prayers and good wishes for this hard and difficult time to the Splitt family. Mr. Splitt was a very sweet man and it was my outmost pleasure to meet both him and his lovely wife. Rest in peace, Mr. Splitt. You will be missed.

Dearest Cody and Leigh- Our hearts go out to you both on the loss of our beloved Harley. Our family – small as it is – is greatly diminished. You should know that Harley will always be a permanent part of our fondest memories. Do you remember how much fun we all had as we flew through Boston that weekend, taking in the sights and boats and food? And the last time all of us were together was a celebration, too: my Dad and Mom’s 49th wedding anniversary dinner at our house in Northbrook, Illinois - a wedding that you, Cody, attended back in 1941. Every time we saw Harley was a happy occasion. That’s how we will remember him. We are keeping Harley and both of you, Cody and Leigh, in our prayers. We love you. Much love, Cathy and Tim Flaherty Tommy Flaherty

Cody and Leigh, We were sad to hear about the passing of Harley. He was such an asset to the community by sharing his time, talent and resources; it will feel his loss. He was a patriot with his service to defend our country then afterwards with his support of the Party for the betterment of our country.

Cody and Leigh, I was so sorry to see that Harley passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you. That was such a nice write-up and reading it brought back many memories of my folks. It has been many years since I have seen either of you, but please know that I am thinking of you both.

To my dear neighbors of many years. How I loved edging the lawn and keeping the yard looking great. Harley was my most supportive person. You will be missed and thank you for all of your years of service to the community. I hope you voted early. Bob and Nancy Hackinson

Dear Cody, Jim and I were sorry to read of your husband's passing. We are at our Florida condo so cannot attend his service. We just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you during this difficult time. We both have very fond memories of you from years ago in the courtroom. As court reporters, we remember the attorneys who were a pleasure to work with and you were certainly in that category. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Sincerely, Jim and Loraine Henes
